Guardian Games CCG Tournament

Every other Monday night come out and play MLP the card game.  We mainly play casual style, so if you just want to learn the game, or find random opponents for casual play, or you want to try the multi-player rules, or you just want to watch and socialize (even play a random board game), then come on down.  However, if enough people are interested (minimum 4) a tournament can run for promos, and at half the gatherings they do run.  National scouring tournaments don’t start till the summer (two to three months from now), so get practice against everyone’s decks now.

Tournament rules include usage of the updated comprehensive rules guidelines.

Tournament Cost: $5 entry fee, minimum reward is one booster pack and a twilight sparkle promo card #4. Top 1/3rd of players get multiple booster packs and Eyup’s and Assault Cake promo cards.

Deck construction:

-45+ cards in your main deck with no more than 3 of any single type of card.

-10 cards exactly in your problem deck with no more than 2 of any single type of problem.

-1 main character.

-use counters/dice for action points so your opponents can visible see your current score and action point total without having to ask you.

FYI, the numbers of signups on this site don’t reflect the number of people actually showing up, most of the crowd that shows up never sign’s up.

I will be there, but sadly may be a little late due to traffic. Who knows, I will show up anywhere between 6:30 and 7.

I'll be there about an hour early if anyone wants to practice before things start.

The other big problem is we don't totally get to pick the time to play the tournaments. In truth the bronie community doesn't get %100 of the say when we can do tournaments. We get about %49 of the say. The stores we play at get %51 of the say. So if we want a more convient time, but the store says they can't do it on that day due to Magic tournaments, Comic book day, or what not, they will not give us that time slot. Hence why we have Mondays and Thursday to begin with. The store will go with whatever events bring in the most customers and money. So if we don't show a strong support of a particular thing (like the ccg, or buying pony merc), the store won't support it over a better selling product.
