Hey Chuck, will there be a piano at the jam location? Interested in going, all I can do is sing and play the keys though.

Hi Keenan. We had a guy show up at this last jam with a keyboard and a small amp. He fit in very well in the mix. If you have something like that, you're welcome to come join us and see how well it works. The main idea is to keep the volume low enough that we can still hear the acoustic instruments.

Thanks everyone. It was a great jam. We had fun!

I thought that the keyboards and accordion were a nice add to the mix of rich sounds already including a cellist and flutes in addition to the guitarists. It's quite an experience!

I've been trying to whip my pile of tabs into some semblance of order tonight, so I threw together a list of songs I think have worked well at jams past. If people have stuff they want to add to the list, please do. Link to google docs below.

Here's the chords for *most* of that list. I'll add some more in, but this is what I've pulled together for now. https://docs.google.co...

Also, I should mention that if anyone wants to lead a song, please be prepared to write out the chords for the group.

Yes Vern. Modeled after the Portland Casual Jam that Bodhi runs. We write the chords out on a whiteboard so everyone can play along and we play a mixture of Rock & Roll and Blues.

Are these jams similar to the Shaker and vine jams?
