Portland Piano Company MASTER CLASS - FREE! Sat. 11/23 2pm

The NY Times reports on the long-term benefits of music lessons. If you'd like to see that principle in action, please join us for "Up Close with Masters," when Jean-Efflam Bavouzet leads four highly talented advanced piano students through improving piano performance. Saturday, Nov 23, 2 PM, Portland Piano Company´╗┐, 711 SW 14th & Morrison. And, yes, it's FREE!

The guest clinician from France was fabulous. Now I see how a real master class is conducted. Learning notes is not the same as playing the music. Being a music teacher, we have to bring the students along the long path of learning and playing a piece.

Hi Philip, The program sounds wonderful, and I will be very sorry to miss it. But I spent last night in Kaiser ER with a kidney stone and lots of meds. I may or may not have passed the stone, and am still on meds. So I just don't know what will happen tomorrow. Right now can hardly stand up. See you another time, perhaps.

Barbara, I hope you recover quickly. Best to rest tomorrow and stay home. Kidney stones are nasty, I hear.

    Hi Phillip,
Do you know if this event fills up quickly or not? I am trying to determine when I should plan on getting there. Thanks!

30 minutes early should be plenty. That's when I plan to get there (1:30). See you then!
