It's BBQ time - Reo's Ribs

It's BBQ time at one of Portland's best BBQ pits, Reo's Ribs - Enjoy some of the best BBQ in Portland smoked fresh every day!   Imagine how savory to be enjoying some tasty smoked ribs on a cool spring (probably rainy) Portland day - just a little bit of gastronomic southern sunshine for your foodie soul!

Reo's features homemade Southern style barbecue and soul food cooked the Mississippi way. Chicken, beef brisket, pulled pork sandwiches pork spareribs, fried catfish, baby back ribs, beef spareribs and more at Reo's Ribs. This barbecue restaurant serves hearty homemade soul food and southern specialties. Sides include red beans,rice, yams, collard greens, fried okra and hush puppies. Finish with traditional desserts like red velvet cake, homemade pies, brownie, rice krispie treats; and more. Top all this off with freshly brewed Sweet Tea a true Southern specialty.

There is no deposit requirement for this event but I do request that you only RSVP if you are committed to coming and if you commit but your plans change, please update your RSVP as soon as you realize you are not coming.   We currently have a reservation for a large table that seats 8.  As more people sign up I will try to reserve additional tables.  So that makes it very important that you only sign up if you are committed to coming so I don't have the restaurant holding tables for people that don't show up.

    There's way better BBQ in Portland. I found this place to be very awkward and not a pleasant experience --service and food -- when I visited. With Podnah's in town, there's no reason to settle.

    Enjoyed the company. The fried Okra and the red velvet cake were excellent. My beef ribs were too salty - which is sad because they were excellent the last time I ate here. There was a lady there who is an owner or manager - she looked exhausted. Not sure why they are having problems with the food consistency.

    The food was a bit too salty, except the yams, which tasted as though they had added sweetener (not needed for good yams). No beer/wine license.
