Some Summer Play on a July Evening

  • July 14, 2012 · 6:00 PM
  • at My Place

This will be held at Chris' house again.

This will be a meetup for the Beginners.

Self define beginner for yourself. If you are one come and join us.

Acoustics and electrics are welcome, but we'll keep the volume down on the electrics as before.

Bring a couple songs to share if you like. If we need to make copies I can do that at the house.

The weather should be nice, so we can sit on the deck in the evening shade.

This will go from 6-8pm. That seemed to be a good time for last time.

The address will be sent out 24 hours before the meetup to the attendees.

I live in Multnomah Village, Portland, OR, 97219

Thanks everyone for making this such a fun evening. Getting together to play guitar and sing like this is such a great way to connect with everyone.

click on the song link ... and different browsers render it differently.
One simply pops it in a popup. Google places it in a bar at the bottom of the browser, where you click on it again.

Sure Deborah. (I am glad you like JM's version)
The chords to the song can be found by going to the menu item above of MORE. Then under that FILES.
Place in the Sun is at the top.
    Anyone can post songs there.

Good impersonation of a white guy doing Stevie, heh.
Any chance of a link to the chords of the song? I'm not very good at finding the best sites for those. Thanks! :)

Place in the Sun. A song Stevie Wonder made famous ... sung by James Morrison.
It'll be a song we can play this Saturday.

Great, Chris! I can easily get to Mult. Village. Looking forward to this, esp. because I can really make it this time! I have no shortage of songs in my notebook(s), just a shortage of some of the chords...
    See you all there. --Deborah

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
