Boy Scout Ridge snowshoe again

First let me apologize to Zach and Jeff for being such a copy cat but I have been looking at all the awesome pictures on this trip and must do it. The weather is looking great and I  want to get out some where with a view,  this looks like the place to be. We will start at the White River snow park and climb up to the PCT then continue on the ridge for some views and a break at the lower view point. From here the trail climbs steeply to the upper view point. Total millage is about 5 miles with 1800' elevation. We should have a chance to do some glasiding on the way back. This is may not be a trip for beginers, this much elevation makes this difficult. In addition to your ten essentials you should bring poles, layers of clothes (no cotton), snacks and money for your driver. If you are driving you will need a snow ready car and a snow park pass.

I had a good time with a fun group. Thanks for setting this up Pete, and thanks to the photogs for the pics -- they captured the day nicely.

Pete, thanks for hosting and bringing Jersey. I slept well last night. I learned the importance of having a good gear on this trip. Once I ditched ever collapsing heavy pole with disappearing baskets, I stopped running out of breath. Although, the poles provided good workout. My arms are sore this morning!

Snowed all day, no SUN and no mountain again for me. But we did have powder today. Great lead Pete. Kicked my butt for my first event for this group...no wonder why it took me over a year to go on my first event.
