TOTAL MILES: 6.9 miles
ELEVATION GAIN: 2820 ft
PACE: "quick" (2-2.5 MPH)
DIFFICULTY RATING: Difficult

**RSVPs will open at 8:00pm on Wednesday**
CARPOOLING: RT mileage is 100 miles, give or take; we suggest a mileage donation of 10 cents/mile/person, or $10.00. Exact change makes it easier to divide among our drivers. No one will be turned away for an inability to contribute. Thanks!
Dog Mountain is located on the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge and sits right on the boundary between the "wet" and "dry" sides. This results in often ferocious winds and a great variety of plants. In good weather, views are fantastic. This is a classic spring conditioning hike, since although the loop is only about 7 miles, the trail up is unrelentingly steep and will require some fitness and perseverance!
Please note that there is a MANUAL waiting list for this hike. What this means is that if a spot opens up everyone on the waiting list will automatically receive an e-mail notifying them of the opening. The first person (whether on the waiting list or not) to RSVP gets the spot.
