Local long distance hiker (and Portland Hiking Meetup group member) Erin "Wired" Saver is doing a presentation at REI on her recent thru hike along the Continental Divide Trail. The 3,100 mile Continental Divide Trail is considered one of the most rugged and remote long distance trails in the world. It is the least known and traveled of America's "Triple Crown" (three longest trails including the Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail). Solo backpacker, Erin "Wired" Saver (PCT 2011) will be speaking about her 134 day thru hike along the CDT which took her from Mexico to Canada along the spine of North America this past summer. The presentation includes anecdotes, pictures, and videos from her hike. For a sneak peek, check out her highly followed blog at www.walkingwithwired.com where she kept a daily detailed journal of her hike.
**Don't forget to sign up for this event via the REI website listed above as an RSVP through the PHMG will not get you into the event**
