What Promises are

What problems they solve

How they work under the hood (live code our own Promise object)

Promises/A+ Spec

We will also have a presentation from Luc Perkins on Dart, the programming language from Google.  Luc will give us a basic intro to:

Polymer elements

DOM manipulation in Dart

Several people have asked what dev tools I used in my talk, particularly the live coding part, so I thought I'd answer here:

I use WebStorm with their Vim plugin. I've been using Vim since college, so it's pretty much burned into my fingertips now. Yes, I like Sublime, but I like having an integrated debugger more. I use Moom for window management.

Any more questions, feel free to email me at info(at)byrandie.com.

Vim rocks. Especially full Vim and GVim but I'll take Vim plugins anyday. :) Great talk and live coding Randie!
