Please join us for our 3rd annual World AIDS Day Ride!

UPDATE NEW START LOCATION

11/27 Tuesday Morning:

Each year on World AIDS Day we ride the same number of miles as we have experienced the pandemic. This year we will ride 32 miles through the streets of Portland, pausing for rest stops and a memorial event mid-ride to remember why we ride this day and on AIDS/LifeCycle-- to end the AIDS pandemic and to raise funds to help those living with HIV/AIDS. We will start at Grant Park, at the corner of NE 36th Avenue and NE US Grant Place at 9:30 AM and will head out by 10:00 AM. We'll make a big loop, through NE Portland over to the I-205 bike path, down to Marine Drive on the Columbia, and roughly parallel Marine Drive all the way round to St. Johns, then down through N Portland and back to Grant Park.

We'll give you a head's up Friday night and then first thing Saturday (by 7 AM) if the weather is looking wretched and we cancel. But we hope to ride and see you all there!

Please RSVP to  [masked] if you plan to come so we have an idea of how many route sheets to print!

Team Portland is a 60-person group participating in the AIDS/LifeCycle Ride, a 545-mile, 7 day fundraising ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles in June of 2013 benefiting the HIV/AIDS services of the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Each year on World AIDS Day we ride the same number of miles as we have experienced the pandemic. This year we will ride 32 miles through the streets of Portland, pausing for rest stops and a memorial event mid-ride to remember why we ride this day and on AIDS/LifeCycle-- to end the AIDS pandemic and to raise funds to help those living with HIV/AIDS.  http://www.worldaidsdaynw.org/

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
