Comedy Grab Bag!

Comedy Grab Bag is back on October 26th at the Funhouse Lounge. Show starts at 8pm. Say the word "Meetup" and you will get a 2 for 1 ticket price.

Jay Flewelling and Kimberly Brady present the fourth installment of Comedy Grab Bag. Portland’s singular comedy variety show returns to the Funhouse Lounge 8:00 pm, October 26th, 2012 for a night full of sketches, stand-up sets, music, video shorts, and a long-form improv set featuring guest Monologist Randy Blazak. Each Grab Bag explores a theme, in which a team of writers composes sketches to guide the audience through a rakish, rib-rattling comedy show.

While the political fate of United States of America remains undecided until November, the brilliant comedic destiny of Comedy Grab Gab is really not up for debate. An “election” themed comedy show is scheduled to land at the Funhouse.
This show, Comedy Grab Bag is proud to be featuring a stand-up set by Christopher Hiuzar and a Don Frost, a local headlining stand-up comedian and Bridgetown Comedy Festival veteran. A musical improv set will be performed by Annie Vergnetti.
The Baguettes, an ensemble of some of Portland’s finest improvisers, are honored to welcome guest monologist Randy Blazak. Blazak, a Portland author, musician, and PSU professor will deliver impromptu monologues based off of audience suggestions which will then be spun into a comedic tapestry of gold by The Baguettes themselves.

Improviser and stand-up comedian Jay Flewelling joined forces with Kimberly Brady, a co-founder of Bridgetown Comedy Festival, to create Comedy Grab Bag. The creative team of Comedy Grab Bag includes videographer Jason Williams, photographer Courtney Harper, and writers DJ Hubb and Jonathan Hopp. The Portland improvisers that make up the Baguettes are: Ashley Barton, Annie Rimmer, Al Zimmerman, Matt Shmuck, Colleen Irwin, Megan McGeorge, Jay Flewelling, & Kimberly Brady.
