The winner of Helium Comedy Club's Portland's Funniest Person Contest 2012, Nathan Brannon, AND a top ten finalist from the first season of NBC's 'Last Comic Standing,' Tere Joyce, headlining back-to-back supported by the Comedic talent of The Real Hyjinx, a finalist in the 2012 Shades of Laughs International Comedy Competition? I'm there! What's that you say? The show is Hosted and Produced by the hilarious Scott Von Wald, fellow PDX Comedy Fans Laughaholic, and owner of the newly-formed Status Dropout Entertainment? Oh, yeah, y'all should definitely come out and laugh with me at this show!
Here's one of the things that makes Portland Comedy so special. Because this show is locally-produced and not happening at some big money-making machine of a Comedy Club, you not only get to experience a more up-close and personal show, but you can do it affordably. How affordably? How does $5 advance, $7 at the door sound? (You will spend more than that just meeting the required 2 drink minimum for those "Free" Comedy Club tickets.)*
*The above paragraph is the author's opinion, based on her experiences at Comedy clubs, and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the performers, producer, or Status Dropout Entertainment.
**I strongly suggest buying tickets to this show in advance, as they very well may sell out very quickly. The venue is fairly sizable, but once capacity is reached, door admission can not be granted.**

Here is some additional info on the headliners in the form of their official Bios:
Nathan Brannon takes the audience on an unexpected ride full of witty stories, clever punch lines, and amusing shadow puppets. He brings smiles and hilarious anecdotes to the stage every time he grabs the microphone. Nathan also added this sentence because he needed a higher word count.
Nathan has participated in competitions such as the San Francisco & Seattle International Comedy Competitions. He was the winner of Helium Comedy Club's "Portland's Funniest Person Comedy Competition" in 2012, and winner of the Yakima Valley Comedy Competition in 2010. Nathan also participated in Comedy Festivals all over the country. He has opened for national headliners such as Dave Chappelle, Matt Braunger, Maria Bamford, Arj Barker, Shang, Larry Miller, and has photoshopped himself into photos with many more. Nathan was also seen in NBC's new series, "Grimm". Make Nathan your vote for student body president this spring. Go Hawks!
TERE JOYCE has toured as a professional stand-up comedian for many years. In 2003 she was a top ten finalist on the first season of NBC's Last Comic Standing. Akin to the show's agenda, Tere hoped for the sitcom in the sky, but instead she found herself in a raid by the DEA at a medical marijuana dispensary. The experience awakened her to a new journey that shifted her goals. She began producing and performing in benefits for Cannabis related causes, which included raising money for those who were incriminated for marijuana-related offenses. Twice a month, she has her own segment Hollyweed with Radical Russ Belville on The Daily NORML Audio Stash. Tere Joyce produces and hosts her own radio show Hollywood Hemptress Hour on New Dissident Radio. http://hollywoodhemptresshour.blogspot.com/
