Learning to lucid dream, astral project, or have an out of body experience requires work and practice in the real world.
I have personally had many lucid dreams, and have even had an incredible out of body experience. I know others that have seen/predicted the future in their dreams with amazing accuracy and detail.
For decades I have read about people with money (grants) performing lucid dream experiments in labs with high tech equipment and often thought how cool it would be to get involved with something like that.
The truth is, none of the experiments I've read about are terribly difficult or expensive to conduct. All you need is a group of people willing to share in the experience together.
To start with, this group will do nothing more than to meet in public places and have discussions about dreaming, dream interpretation, lucidity, astral projection and out of body experiences. We will share books, information, and ideas on the subject. This may be all that some of the members of this group ever do.
However, as we get to know each other better, some of us may choose to have meditation or dream sessions together. Maybe we can have an observer watch while others fall asleep, then play sounds and music (or flashing lights) to alert the sleeper in an REM state to the fact that s/he is dreaming. The possibilities are exciting and endless.
Obviously such sessions would require a certain level of trust amongst each other. We can discuss these possibilities in the future when the time is right.
In our first meeting, several of us decided that we would record as many of our dreams as we could.
In this meeting we will share one or more of our experiences.
We will talk about and share the techniques that we used. What worked for us and what did not work for us.
We will also continue to talk about the direction of our new group, and what we want out of future meetups. Read more
