A Bicycle Guide to Portland's Craft Beer Scene - Free Presentation Portland REI

I am posting this event that is really being put on by REI because I know many of you will be interested in this and it's free but keep in mind - it's an REI event and you have to register with REI to go.  As of today 3/4/13 there are 36 open spots!!!  If someone wants to host for our group it will help our members meet with each other at the event.  Otherwise you will have to email each other ahead of time if you want to know how to find our meetup members at the event.

Portland REI — Hop in the Saddle Cycling

  • Date: 3/6/2013
  • Event Location: Portland REI
  • Event Fee: Free
  • Time: 6:30 - 7:30 PM PST
  • Presenter: Hop in the Saddle Authors
  • Group Size: 50

Description: Join authors Ellee Thalheimer and Lucy Burningham, plus designer Laura Cary, as they discuss Hop in the Saddle, A Guide to Portland's Craft Beer Scene, by Bike, the guidebook that unites two of Portland's greatest passions: Bikes & Beer. Bicycling and craft brew--it doesn't get more Portland. For the first time, a guide marries these two worlds by linking the best beer spots with routes that explore the city's first-class cycling boulevards, bike-friendly streets and quirky bike charm. Hop in the Saddle features ten bike routes, detailed maps and accompanying cue sheets for cyclists of any level, with options to extend each brew tour into a longer ride. Locals and visitors alike, from serious beer geeks to cycling aficionados, will want to slip this book into their jersey pockets and panniers as they uncover the city's booming beer scene.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
