You are invited to"Creating Community Artfully ", Show for Black History Month!

Our Patron, Renee Mitchell invited all of us to this Beautiful Event hosted by the Ciity of Portland!

The City of Portland invites YOU to "Creating Community Artfully," an art sale and community celebration of Black History Month.     This event, sponsored by the city and organized by Twysted Healing Systahs, will celebrate area artists who are here or have passed on.

It will also have live music, dancers, and a children's art & creative inspiration table to encourage and inspire the next generation of artists.

"Creating Community Artfully" will also pay tribute to the late Obo Addy, one of Portland's famed... African musical composers and performers, and one of the key originators of the seminal music movement, now known as "Worldbeat." Obo was a prominent member of the first generation of Africanmusicians to bring their traditions and popular music to Europe and America. Obo passed away on Sept. 13, 2012.

WHEN: Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013
TIME: 5:30-8 p.m.
WHERE: Emmanuel Church Community Room
1033 N. Sumner (ADA accessible)

This FREE family friendly event is open to the public. We will also have a photo booth where you can have professional pictures of yourself printed on the spot! How's that for fine art?!

Personal Note From Patron, Renee ~
If you're interested in participating as an artist, please send jpegs of your work, an artist's bio and mug shot to Create.Artfully (at) by Feb. 15 so you can be included in the souvenir program.

We also need volunteers to usher, pass out programs and clean up. Also contact us at Create.Artfully (at)

Please spread the word to your networks. See you there!

Keep raising hope,

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
