This is a great opportunity to see what is, in Leonard's opinion, one of the best example of forest gardening and use of perennial vegetables in Portland. Norris and Tulsi's garden is a veritable who's-who of hard-to-find edible plant species that can be grown in our climate. It's a great site to learn about the planning, implementation, and evolution of an urban food forest.
Pending their availability and everyone's interest, we'll schedule a couple follow-up tours later in the year so everyone can see it through the seasons.
P.S. If you're not already aware of the great work Norris is doing to put together wholesale orders of edible and useful plants, please check out his website Discount Permaculture.
***we must limit this tour to 15 people - please sign up on the waiting list if you are interested in attending***
