Site Tour: Norris and Tulsi's Northeast Oasis

  • Feb 13, 2011 · 2:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This is a great opportunity to see what is, in Leonard's opinion, one of the best example of forest gardening and use of perennial vegetables in Portland. Norris and Tulsi's garden is a veritable who's-who of hard-to-find edible plant species that can be grown in our climate. It's a great site to learn about the planning, implementation, and evolution of an urban food forest.

Pending their availability and everyone's interest, we'll schedule a couple follow-up tours later in the year so everyone can see it through the seasons.

P.S. If you're not already aware of the great work Norris is doing to put together wholesale orders of edible and useful plants, please check out his website Discount Permaculture.

***we must limit this tour to 15 people - please sign up on the waiting list if you are interested in attending***

Fabulous! Norris and Tulsi are pros and their tour was top-notch. Lots of learning, and they graciously accomodated 2 tours back to back. Thank you, Norris, for making it happen, for making mistakes, and for making space for us!

A couple of people have dropped out of the first meeting at Norris and Tulsi's place. Any chance that i might be able to go in their place?

Just to clarify: the reminder email sent today lists the address as 4510 NW Going - I believe it should be 4510 NE Going.

Thanks for the reminder. Unfortunately, I have to head out of town for work, so I just updated my RSVP to "can't go". One more spot for those waitlisted now.
