Play the Piano

Hi Everyone,

Now's your chance to play on a concert, 9' Steinway grand series "D" ! Our member, Steve, has secured Sherman Clay Pianos as our meetup location this month.

As always, at this meetup you can play anything you like: new, old, classical, jazz, pop, etc. It's up to you. If you don't have a new piece to play, dig up an old piece, play last month's piece, or just come to listen.

Bring a snack to share, if you like. That's optional.

See you soon,

Rick

P.S. The $2 charge is applied toward the meetup organizer fees ($144/year) and can be paid either online or at the event.

What a splendid opportunity to play a concert grand in a setting much less stressful than where one would usually find a concert grand!

First of all, I've played that piano in concerts and it's wonderful. I wish I could be there too but I have a trio engagement at the Camelia Lounge (Tea Zone) that night (this Sat). Maybe some of you could come by after the meetup and continue the meetup by listening to a very unique jazz piano trio featuring many original compositions by myself as well as some standards.

The store officially closes at 6PM. Knock on the side entrance door(Davis street) to get inside. Public parking across 13th ($5.00 ?) or find street parking which should be free after 7 P.M.

MAX is the way to go. No need to drive, waste gas, find or pay for parking. MAX rocks.

Hi David. Welcome. This is our first time using the facilities. There may be some logistic problems with keeping the store "open" late since we're guests and not tenants. I'll inquire with the powers that be. We probably wont start until 730 anyway. You may miss some good food and playing. :o)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
