May meeting- Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

4.15 of 5 stars 4.15 · rating details · 115,867 ratings · 6,145 reviews

When Richard Mayhew stops one day to help a girl he finds bleeding on a London pavement, his life is forever altered, for he finds himself propelled into an alternative reality that exists in a subterranean labyrinth of sewer canals and abandoned subway stations. He has fallen through the cracks of reality and has landed somewhere different, somewhere that is Neverwhere.

Not feeling so great today. I'd hate to get anyone else sick, too.

Gah, the one month I have this night free, but too busy with work to get the book read :(

I don't have the book, I merely pointed out it looked good. I will keep an eye out for any other of your books that I've bought, although so far this is the first one that comes close to my taste.

As much as the book sounds good, I do not have time to buy it, read it, then go to a meeting about it, so for the moment I'm not going to make this meeting. I will keep looking in to see if a book I've read ends up in your club.

We usually have books chosen two months ahead, so look at the future meetings on the website to see what books we will be reading in the future and either buy it or get it from the library and read it before the meeting.

I read the email, but it said "No spots left! Join the Waiting List?" I'm new to this site, does this mean that I can't attend or that I should ignore it and just show up on time this time? From what I read of the book it does sound interesting. Which brings up another point should I buy the books mentioned here or just go to a library?

Thank you both for your emails, and I have been signed up. Although this still leaves the question of whether or not I need to buy the book?

Ok, I have to find a library, I've never read it, but thank you for replying.

I've just been scheduled to work until 7:30 so someone else is welcome to my spot. Sorry!
