Treatment and Script critiques

Greetings everybody!

Thought I'd try a quieter location. We are now transitioning this meetup into critiquing partial scripts and treatments for each meetup. Casey has created a Google Docs folder under Portland Screenwriters for those who give him your g-mail address, he will send you an invitation to share your work in our group. This will be a more secure site for those of us who do not want to put it on the file share.

Please print out the document you are critiquing and bring it with you to the meetup. If you are submitting a document to the shared drive, please limit your document to 15-20 pages at the most. If you post something later than Wednesday and we already have 7 documents to critique for that Friday, we may have to critique your document the following week. We will divide up the time for the critiques per how many submissions we have an how many submitted.

When someone in the group is ready to have a table read of your ENTIRE script, please send me an e-mail with the date you would like and place and I will make an announcement on the meetup.

Looking forward to reading people's work!

See you Friday!

P.S. If anyone would like to be a co-organizer for this group, let me know and i will add you.

Hola, I hope to meetup again in 2-3 weeks; I start my new job on 11/7. I'm currently completing required training and adjusting to busier schedule. Have a good one!

The 39th Street Fred Meyer may prove to be a good location since it has a large cafe that is fairly quiet in the evenings. It's also inexpensive food and coffee on the Hawthorne side of the first floor.

Mark, They have recently remodeled. I think it is upstairs in the NE corner near the DVD's. I'll swing past and take a look. It should still work.

Oops. Another senior moment. You are correct Mark. The cafe is now back on the main floor by Hawthorne. Right behind the cash register for the salad bar. If you get a do-it-yourself salad, be careful. They are by the pound, and it is easy to put together a $12 salad. But not everything is so expensive and they have sushi plus comfort food. And inexpensive drinks.
