Treatment and script critiques

Greetings everybody!

It was great seeing new faces at our last couple of meetups. I have decided to make this a weekly critique group so I would like to ask people to start uploading their scripts online that they would like the group to critique. Here are the rules for submissions, critiques, and our meetup.

Please limit your submissions to 10 - 15 pages on the file share under the "More" tab and have it submitted by Sunday at midnight the week before our Friday meetup.

If you RSVP for the Friday meetup, please read each script submitted before we meet.

Even if the script does not interest your particular genre, please find positive things to say as well as constructive criticism. You can print out the scripts or you can download the script and type your notes, highlight your comments and save it electronically to be shared with the writer on the Friday.

Upon our meetup, we will determine the order of the scripts to be discussed. Based on how many people attend and how many scripts we critique, we will divide up the time for each person to speak uninterrupted. The writer may not interrupt the critique by explaining something. If the issue was unclear, that will come out through other critiques. After the last person critiques, the writer will be given time to respond to the critiques. This will be a fair system so not one person dominates the discussion and gives everyone a chance to speak.

If you are new and have not come to this meetup before, please do not submit a script or treatment, but come prepared to discuss other members scripts. Once you have come to your first meetup with us, you are welcome to submit scripts and treatments for future critiques and discussions.

Looking forward to seeing new faces and our dedicated regular members at this meetup.

Best,

Mark
