I've booked the conference room at Tabor Space for Tuesday, January 22nd, from 6 to 9 p.m. I think that would give us enough time for a full read with critiques.
I will bring separate sheets for everyone to take notes on for feedback to give back to me. I'd like everyone to keep a copy of the script for themselves in case they'd like to take home and give me additional notes later (in case we run out of time).
Thanks in advance to everyone who comes and participates...and rips my script apart (just kidding!).
About my script:
Working Title: Collection
Working Logline: A reclusive collection agent yearning to escape his life of isolation develops an unhealthy obsession with one of his targets.
Albert Troller lives a life of isolation and routine. His only outlet- his day job as a collection agent. His colleagues are the top dogs in the office; the ones who get their 'targets' to pay their debts, by any means necessary. But Albert takes a more gentle approach, and he gets results. That's why his boss offers him a chance at Julie, a recently separated mom of one. Albert sees something familiar in her, and as a result develops an obsessive interest. This brings out a side in Albert no one -including himself- has ever seen before. Will this girl of his dreams bring him out of his boring, do-nothing life, or will his obsession lead him to an even darker place?
(NOTE: This script is a black comedy, and with that comes quite a bit of language. Just wanted to wanted to warn folks before they show up.)
