The Chakra Workshop 7: Sahasrara- Lotus of a Thousand Petals

Chakra Workshop 7: Sahasrara- Lotus of a Thousand Petals

Get familiar with your Chakras and discover the power of healing that comes with your awareness! In preparation for the main ritual at Nine Houses of Gaia’s Fall Equinox Festival, the ritualists are holding 7 Chakra workshops for the 7 primary Chakras. Whether you plan on going to the Festival (to be held September 18th - 21st 2014) or are just interested in learning about the Chakras, these workshops will have much positive benefit, and will be great for meeting like minded folks! Oh, they will be FUN too!

The workshops are a benefit for the creation of the ritual, as the festival and the ritual are non-profit and volunteer based. The ritual is “The Chakras: A Journey to the Self”

Our Crown Chakra ritualist is CJ Shepard

The Crown Chakra is the prism and gateway through which all incoming messages and outgoing prayers, spells and other forms of spiritual communication pass.

Learn how the Crown Chakra completes the connection between all the other Chakras and brings us to our true selves and closer to that which connects everything. Learn how to discover the passion that opens up and lights up our lives. We will learn how in being the keeper of our own 'lighthouse', we play a more conscious, active role in the world as a whole.

A two-spirited tantric shaman, CJ embraces and revels in the descriptive term "out there." CJ has spent a lifetime accepting and discovering the gifts and blessings as a healer that were given at birth, learning from and contemplating the human experience. CJ is a practitioner of Wicca and earth-based faiths, sprinkled heavily with the core teachings of Buddhism, Mystic Christianity and "just playing in the dirt and listening to the trees."

Using sensory deprivation, tantric meditation, heat and water, CJ communes and converses regularly with her spirit guides. CJ chooses to communicate those messages through any creative means possible, as a photographer, artist, and writer or with an honest, disarming sense of humor.

The workshop is on Sunday, July 27th at 5:30 PM. The cost per class is $10. No one turned away for lack of funds, but you MUST contact Nikki in advance to negotiate a lower cost.

The workshops are at The Catalyst Art and Culture Space, 4810 NE Garfield Ave, Portland OR, 97211. 18 and older only please.

Would this be a good class for a beginner or would a different class be better to start with? Everyone seems so much more experienced than I am.
