Earth Day Tree Planting

When: Saturday April 20th – 9:00 am; Free
Where: Rooster Rock State Park in the Columbia Gorge

Join Sierra Club, Friends of the George, Safeway Grocery Stores, SOLV, Friends of the Historic Columbia River Highway and AANR under supervision of Oregon Parks & Recreation.

Mother Nature needs your help planting 400 trees of four different species. Their longevity will depend upon the care in which they are planted. You can help - we will work with you so we can be successful together. Our park tools are limited. Please if you can, bring your own garden planting tools, 5 gal. bucket, gloves, water and snack to suit. Families encouraged.

400 little baby trees needing your gentle care for their survival!

The work party will meet in the parking lot west of the park headquarters at 9:00 am and conclude at 1:00 pm or at your convenience. Take I-84 east to Exit 25, then to parking lot close to the Columbia River.

Carpools will leave at 8:15 am from south entrance to Gateway Park & Ride parking structure just east of I-205 at 1321 NE 99th Ave, 97220. More info from [masked]- or[masked]
