Forested trails lead out eventually to an open, wildflower covered ridge. From here, one can look down at Hamilton Mountain and mock the tiny, ant-like climbers on that peak. Or not (depends on maturity levels). At the very least, count on beautiful views up and down the gorge. I plan to take the slightly longer, but more scenic, version of the return route.
We will meet at 8:30 at the Marshall Center, 1009 East McLoughlin Blvd in Vancouver. Please be on time. (I shouldn't have to say it, but I did.) Bring plenty of water, enough food, appropriate footwear, multiple layers of clothing, sunscreen, 10 essentials, etc. If you have any questions about what to bring or about this hike, contact me by email or at[masked], cell[masked]-7908. And, if you have a Discover Pass, please bring it, as Washington State Parks are very aggressive in their ticketing.
