Spend the T-Day weekend XC Skiing from Mazama Lodge

Government Camp area, multi-day (Th-Su), with 4 - 6 mile XC ski trips.

Participants on this trip will stay at Mazama Lodge, but please MAKE YOUR OWN reservations here: Looks like you can still sign up for Thanksgiving Dinner at the Lodge, but call or email immediately-phone[masked]; e-mail: [masked]--as they sell out!

I would like to leave Gateway by 10 AM on Thanksgiving Day, drop off our overnight gear at the Lodge, and do a short ski wherever conditions are closest and best: perhaps West Leg Road or the Crosstown Trail. We will need vehicles equipped for snow travel: 4WD, snow tires or chains and a Snow Park Permit per vehicle.

Bring lunch for Thurs. Other days, you can bring your own lunches or purchase lunch to go from Mazama Lodge. Breakfast and dinner are served at the Lodge for an additional charge and it is expected that you will participate in these unless you indicate otherwise.

Bring skis, boots, poles, gaiters, mittens, layers of wool or quick-drying clothing, sleeping bag, toiletries. I will make suggestions of additional things to bring as folks sign up.

Join or login to comment.

Sherree and I finally connected! We're leaving from SW 11th & Main around 10 AM, so we won't be stopping at Gateway--unless you call to let us know that you will be there--number below. We will be staying til Sunday.

Hi, Mary, I'm so pleased to see you've arranged a skiing trip over Thanksgiving, and I've made reservations at the Lodge. Thanksgiving dinner looks great and I'd like to make a reservation, but I didn't see how to do that. Do I just need to call on Monday?

I suggest you call ASAP tomorrow morning. They are open Th - Su and may not be there if you wait until Mon. You can ALSO try emailing "Mazamas Lodge " <[masked]>
