Meet the Man who Brings Us Cuvee Rene and Orval from the Birthplace of Wilds!!

The Abbey set this up just for PWAS!!

http://www.theabbeybar.com/events/

We'll talk about spontaneously-fermented beer with Tom Bowers of specialty beer importer Merchant du Vin. http://www.merchantduvin.com/

Yep, that is right, Merchant du Vin is a beer importer.

Here's a chance to talk with a man who loves and knows international beer, and knows the international beer biz.

There will definitely be some Cuvee Rene gueuze in the building to drink and discuss, and those of you who have blushed and asked about faro can maybe have some unabashed talk with Tom Bowers about that sweet little beer. Let's also finally hash out exactly what makes Orval so special among Trappist brews. If you want to talk to him about his other Trappists like Rochefort and Westmalle, just let me know and I'll stick my fingers in my ears and sing LALALALALAH.

The Abbey is a Belgian beer bar, so among its six taps and 100 bottles, you are going to find something up your alley. Come choose a bottle with other PWAS members and pair it with authentic Belgian fare like stoemp, endives, and asparagus!

Great time at a very interesting new bar. Thanks for adding to the list of cool beer bars to visit. Enjoyed the coversatuon and beer samples. Sorry I had to leave before buying a round! Cheers

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
