Early Morning Meditation

Please join us for a brief Dharma talk and 45 minutes of silence every Tuesday and Thursday morning. This is a perfect way to start your day in the deep companionship of the Dharma. Gathering together, we acknowledge the value of the Sangha in supporting our practice.

Because this meeting includes 45 minutes of silence, it is appropriate for those with some experience in meditation. If you are a beginner and would like to come, please contact me first :)

"... the sangha can be found in the communities and relationships of trust and integrity we nurture in our own lives. Sangha, in the most genuine sense, is any relationship where harmony, wisdom, and interconnectedness are treasured. Sure, there are many challenges when we decide to go on retreat and/or sit with ourselves in silent meditation. But, if you think about it, it is far more challenging to work on community development and nurturing true friendships. We need to learn to bring our practice into the world so our practice can be enriched and meaningful. (Ron Fink)

Dana (donations) are gratefully accepted in support of the Dharma.

I am a beginner and thought it best to wait to talk with you before a 45 min sit. I apologize for not making it this am.

Hi Marty. I think you were probably correct. When I first started 45 minutes would have been far too long! I think Sunday might be a good start for you. As I noted in the email I sent to you, the first Sunday of the month Robert leads a introductory meeting at 9:00 a.m. You are welcome to come any other Sunday, of course. I look forward to meeting you.

Thank you, Laurel. I appreciate your follow up and suggestions. I have yet to see your email. Meetup is a bit prolific with messages and I must have missed it. I'll find it though. Have a great night.
