I know it has been a long time since I have set up a meetup, but I have had a lot going on this past year. If you are still interested, please join us at this kid-friendly event at Burger King playplace on Barbur Blvd. in SW Portland. If you are coming from downtown it is just down I5 South off the Terwillerger exit. Here is a link to the map: Burger King Driving Directions/Map. This is hopefully going to be a better year for meetups for me. I will do my best to be a better organizer... thank you for your patience. PS. I would just like to add that I realize that some of you may not be able to attend, and I apologize for any inconvienience the location may be for this particular meetup, but this is just going to be an inital meeting for us to get to know one another and talk about what we can do to make future meetups better. I like the laid back enviornment of BK, and I just want to take things slow with this group. I don't have a lot of funds or resources to set up anything more extravagant, so for now this is going to be a trial. Thank you for understanding. Let's Meetup at Peanut Butter and Ellie's on Saturday January the 20th and bring the kids along with us. We'll meet one another and talk about kids and let them meet one another as well. Bring your own money for snacks and food. If some people can afford to donate some funds to me as the organizer that would be great, but it's not required! Hope to meet you all soon... Jessica

Welcome everyone to the Portland Autism Meetup Group.
If all goes as planned this can be our first meetup together as a group.
This will be the perfect situation to get everyone together to meet and get to know one another.
No special agenda, just us... and the kids are welcome as well! Kid-friendly Peanut Butter & Ellie's will should be a nice comfortable atmosphere for us all.
Just bring money for snacks and if you have any books about ASD you would like to share during the meetup, please feel free to bring them along. I will be printing off a sign to show where the group is sitting so that we can easily find one another. I am looking forward to meeting you and your children!

Let's try this yet again. This place is small and friendly and loves meetups! If you want to, bring a sign, but since the place is so small, we probably won't need it. I will print and bring one along just in case. Sorry for all the mix-ups in the past, but we all have busy lives and communicating via internet is a little tricky sometimes.
