I enjoyed "For All the Tea in China", but from what I've heard it plays a little loose with history. Has anyone read "The True History of Tea"? My impression is that it might be more accurate.

I haven't received the usual "rank" and "comment on the event" querry, but I would give it 5 stars for everything. Terrific time in a suitable shop with serious tea afficianados and a wide variety of teas as well as snacks to share. I'm looking forward to more and soon! Thanks to all who attended and especially our sparkplug host!

Anzac, the Ausie "tea parlor" that I mentioned today is still there in the Dalles: <https://www.facebook.com/anzactea>; I hope that we will be able to get together a group to go there. We would have to make reservations, so collecting money in advance would be a good idea. It's also possible to add a scenic gorge cruise up and back. If we opt for this I would suggest waiting until July to be sure of dry weather. Driving in any weather would be possible. We might offer a car pool.

The was a delightful gathering. The opportunity to taste several different teas with a group of interesting tea afficionados was great fun. Our thanks to Jenn for making it happen. We will look forward to future tea related meet ups, ideally in the near future. Our thanks as well to all who attended.
