Even though the park is only ~196 acres and has about 400' total elevation gain, there are paved and single track trails throughout which can make it feel like a larger park. At the top there is a decent view of the city and surrounding area. For those of you that have never run Mount Tabor, or new to running - it can be a relatively hilly/challenging route at times but still a great trail to start on.
We will meet at the gate off the SE Salmon Street entrance to Mt Tabor, which is located on the west side of the park - please look at the map as it is the gate entrance BEFORE YOU GET INTO THE PARK . There's plenty of street parking along SE Salmon and the adjacent street - SE Taylor Court. There's a Google Maps link to the entrance here, so if you're new to the area, you can click on the blue marker and get directions to the spot.
We will run the blue loop which is about 3 miles. There is an opportunity to add on an additional 1 - 1.5 miles (the Tabor Classic with Cheese) if anyone is interested. If there's interest, afterwards we'll grab a bite to eat and drink at one of the local establishments. A friendly suggestion is to bring a change of dry clothes.
