Virtual DIET meetup! Lose 6 to 10 lbs in 3 DAYS! Then....

  • Sep 30, 2013 · 7:00 AM
  • Your Home

I've lost over 30 pounds within just a few months, and I'm easily keeping to my new weight while enjoying many of the foods I've had in the past. I'm so pleased with the results, I feel confident that it will work for anyone that sticks with it as I did. Those of you that know me can easily see the quick results that I've achieved. So I'd like to share this info with anyone in the group that's interested.   ...and so you know, my mother sent this diet to me a while back. Think she was trying to tell me something? Well, enough said on that!

HERE'S THE PLAN;

Those that RSVP for this meetup will receive an email detailing the instructions for this incredibly safe and easy American Heart Association Diet. The instruction information will be sent out the day of the posted meetup event, and RSVP sign ups will be closed at that time.  This date is Monday, September 30th. So be sure to RSVP "yes" before that date. The diet start date will be Tuesday, October 1st at 7 am and go to Friday at 7 am. This will give you Monday to shop for the food items you'll need for the next three days.

This diet has a controlled calorie intake, and works on chemical breakdown of the food combinations. The diet will go for a period of three days, and you MUST follow the instructions without deviation. If you follow through, you'll be surprised how fast you lost those 8 to 10 pounds!

Now the great part, if you wish to continue losing pounds, I'll be sending another email explaining what I did to lose a total of 30 lbs in about 2 1/2 months! Also, I'm very excited to say that I've maintained this loss to date, and it actually seems difficult to regain the extra weight again. I do fluctuate a few lbs, but an increase never stays more then a day or two! It seems like I hit a plateau and because I changed my diet, I no longer lose, just maintain. But during this diet we're doing here, I will also follow along and lose another 8 to 10 lbs, for a total of almost 40 lbs total!!!

Although I'll share what I did and what worked for me, I have no idea what it will do for you, and of course I cannot be blamed if it doesn't work. But what I will say is that you will most certainly learn what you've been doing over the years to add the extra weight (remember that it took YEARS to bring this on). By being aware of past eating habits, some simple changes can keep these pound off for as long as desired.

All I ask in return is that you post your weight loss after the full three days (e.g. "lost 7 lbs"). Hey, I'm not interested in anyone's actual weight, just want to see this thing work with the numbers!

Here's a heads up for some of the food you'll need for these three days. You will not be able to substitute, so if you don't like something listed, learn to for these three days!

Slices of meat (any type)

Cottage cheese

Apples (small)

Bread for toasting

Beets

String beans

Saltine crackers

Cheddar cheese

Eggs

Tuna/chicken

Cauliflower

Vanilla Ice cream :)

Cantaloupe

Bananas

Carrots

Grapefruit

Peanut butter

Hot dogs

PLEASE, no questions like;

What brand ice cream?

or, Pink or white Grapefruit?

or, Fresh, canned, or frozen String beans?

or, How small is "small"?

Okay, got it?

Thx.

Talk soon!

Well, I followed the diet exactly except I don't drink black coffee or tea, so I survived on flavored water with no sugar. Unfortunately, I was also had a cold, so my metabolism was probably off. My total was nearly 4 lbs. Still, not bad. I did notice though that my system was screwed up for the next 24 hours. After my first real meal after ending the diet I had major stomach aches.

It's almost identical to the military 3 day diet though that one leaves out the beets.

Good morning everyone! Well, it seems to be quiet up here on the comment page this morning! The three day diet has now ended and I'm curious as to how well things went. So I'd like to ask you to please post a comment here with your results. After all the results are posted I'll send out another email to explain what I did to continue to lose weight. Thank you so much for participating, I hope this worked for all of you! If not, don't be discouraged, hopefully you learned some things about food and eating habits, like I sure did. Also, please feel free to email me privately if you wish.

I did learn a few things, Dana. While I can't say I love beets, at least I've discovered they're edible. And that I can get along without sugar on my grapefruit. And if I can eat a hard boiled egg, 1 piece of toast and an apple and feel full enough, I don't need to eat two grilled cheese or other sandwiches. Though I'm going to use mustard at least!

Sorry to be late, but I've been out of the house since 7AM until just now :) I lost about four pounds. Not bad. I'm going to wait and see how (and if) I gain any back, and if I don't I'm going to do this once a month.

    I am down 6.8!

2 lbs. lost for me. Only because I HAD to eat a BIG German dinner one evening, and then the leftovers the next day! Of course then there was the pint of beer (or two?), and ... well let's just say that I'm running this thing, not necessarily participating in it!

    • Dana O.

Got to be honest here. These were 2 of 5 pounds that I regained over the last two weeks.

3 pounds off for me, but I tore my left meniscus at the end of the day on Tuesday so have been off my feet and getting MRI tomorrow. Bummer.

Oh......also, what is everyone doing with the other 1/2 of banana , grapefruit and apple ?

On the second day you were allowed a whole banana -- half with breakfast, half at night. I ate the whole banana as a snack between breakfast and lunch. Mostly because if you leave a half-banana alone for ten or twelve hours, it gets overripe from the air getting to it.

And two small apples -- one on the first day, one on the third. I bought four, so I'll have two left over. But if you bought exact amounts, you should only have half a grapefruit and half a cantaloupe. One good thing that's come out of this diet already is I now know I can eat grapefruit without sprinkling sugar on the top. Now whenever I eat a grapefruit when I'm NOT on this diet, I won't waste the calories with sugar.

This seems to be a pretty good plan.....I plan on doing this for a few weeks.......3 days diet then 4 days ' careful eating " my question is : can I switch off the diner for lunch . My work schedule is irregular and there are days that it is easier to switch meals . Also, I am curious , is the sodium count must be very high ?

I've been logging what I eat online for a year now. I put in the diet for the last three days. First day was 2002 mgs, second was 2307 mgs, third is 1636 mgs. I'm going to see if I lose and then if I keep it off when I go back to my normal diet. If I do, I'm thinking of doing this the first three days of every month. For awhile, until I get down to what I feel I should weigh.

      October 3, 2013

  • Dana O.

Hey, how's everyone holding up? Only 1 more day to go! Remember the actual end will be Friday morning after you weigh in first thing in the morning. After that please post your weight loss as a comment. I'm looking forward to seeing some great losses, as I'm sure you all are.

Doing surprisingly well. Beets are only step above brussel sprouts but I choke them down because this is a chemical combination. Oh, for the broccoli and cauliflower I bought the frozen combo steamer package and divided it up. I'm a little confuse on slice of cheese - like a pre-packaged slice size?

Yes, I didn't mind the beets as much as I thought I would. It's the carrots tonight I'll have to choke down (I eat strange hours; I'm going to have Day 2's Dinner now). I don't want to weigh myself until Friday morning, but I tried on a fanny pack today. It was fairly tight before; seems looser.

      October 2, 2013

  • Dana O.

Good Morning all! So how does it feel to see your scale read less this morning? Well by tomorrow morning you'll be amazed at what it reads. So stay with me here, and let's see this thing to the end, you're already 1/3 through!

Oh, another thing I learned, dill pickles won't influence your weight. So if you really need to snack, eat a dill pickle, or two, or three, or.......

Hmmm... maybe pepper. Tuna already has a lot of sodium. No other spices, though? Cinnamon on my baked small apple?

That sounds great for the hot dogs tonight. And with just a slice of cheese at lunch. I haven't weighed myself yet but I can just tell by my tummy.

It's Tuesday, the first day, ...and we're off! Oh, I forgot to tell you that there's no alcohol allowed during these three days of dieting! Sorry.

This diet is NOT approved by the American Heart Association. I have Type II diabetes. Not going to take a chance having my blood glucose bottoming out. Thanks anyway!

    September 29, 2013

  • Sheila

I'm more willing to try. I need a jump start and hoping this will give me that start and motivate me to get back on track. Even if it just gets me back to eating better and more controlled amounts I'll be happy and if I lose a few quick pounds...all the better! And if not, that's okay too... I think it's what I need to get back on track... Can't wait to start it. It's all good food and food I eat so I can't imagine it's bad for me in any way. Can't wait to get the list tomorrow!

What about allergies to some of the foods on the list?

Consider a suitable alternative, but when you post your weight loss at the end please also post what you changed.

This sounds interesting. Hope it works! I wonder what we can drink. Oh well, I'm sure we will find out. Good Luck everyone.

You'll be able to drink as much as you want of the following'; water, coffee, tea, diet soda, flavored water. But nothing with sugar.

I hit a plateau months ago. The only good thing is I haven't gained back either. I'll try this. Are the portions different depending on height, sex?

  • Cyndi

The food listed above makes me think this might be similiar to the Scarsdale diet which I did years ago and had great results.
