THIS SHOW IS SOLD OUT but other showings are available, so call  (978)[masked] to find these dates/times.

Where There’s a Will…. , the new comedy by our great friend and sponsor George Hosker-Bouley will open at the West End Theater, 959 Islington Street, Portsmouth, NH. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.

I'm securing seats with George for everyone that RSVPs here for February 22 @ 8:00 pm. So PLEASE BE SERIOUS ABOUT ATTENDING! You will pay at the door, and your RSVP ensures your seat. Thank you. ~Dana

What happens when the family Matriarch dies suddenly? A funeral of course, condolences surely but that is not why this family is convening. They know Mom was loaded and the only thing that could bring her children together is the reading of her will. The problem is that no one liked let alone loved the old curmudgeon but they all want to get a piece of the pie. Will either one of her sons prevail and inherit Bradford Manor or will the shifty daughter-in-law Danica pull another fast one. What about her dedicated butler Basile or her lawyer Mr. Divencencio who have served her faithfully for more than 30 years?  The only aspect that is assured is that these players plus the morally loose maid Babette will do anything, anything to get their hands on the old broad’s money!

Who gets the money? How do they get it? What backroom deals are being made? For that matter – is she really dead?

Where There’s a Will…. is the latest parlor comedy by director and playwright George Hosker-Bouley who’s comedies have played to sold-out audiences for more than 20 years. George Hosker-Bouley is an award winning playwright, director, actor and choreographer who has presented more than 22 original scripts. George is the former executive and artistic director of the Prescott Park Arts Festival and also created and stars in the Portsmouth Underbelly Tour, beginning its tenth season this June. George also teaches theater in three states and produces events throughout New England including A Dickens of a Christmas, York’s Flash-mob and the Discover Thursday Series at the Portsmouth Discover Center.

Appearing on the set of Michael Hosker-Bouley in Where There’s a Will….. will be Meg Oolders, Erika Wilson, Anne Reyner, Norm Smith, Ken Stiles, Richard Dimario and George Hosker-Bouley.

Pictured (L-R) are Norm Smith, Meg Oolders, George Hosker-Bouley, Anne Rehner, Ken Stiles, Erika Wilson and Richard Dimario!

...it's sure to be another fantastic night out with the P&B group!!!

What time is everyone meeting for dinner?

So who's going to the street resturant ?

    February 22

  • Fran123

Thanks for your pre-show restaurant suggestions. We’ve decided on ‘Street ‘ at 801 Islington St in Portsmouth. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, so Gale and I are planning to arrive early (at 5:30).

Bill - if you're still coming to the play, I'll bring your game box with me to Portsmouth. Should I leave it in my car and we can go get it to put in your car after?

    February 20

    • Bill E

Sounds like a plan, maybe we can coordinate arriving at the same time and place....if my schedule doesn't get crossed.

Has anyone decided on a place for dinner the street resturant sounded interesting

There is a restaurant called Street directly across from Hannafords that has been very interesting menu. I've been there several times. And it's walking distance from West End theatre

I will be there at 7:30 but if some go out for a light dinner would love to join you, I will be in a real estate class in Portsmoth 8AM - 6PM will be ready for at least a glass of wine by then :)

Plan to be in a restaurant by 6:00 for dinner, but we're still looking for a recommendation for WHERE we should go that's nearby. Any ideas?

      Gale,

A restaurant that's quick and not too far away is Popovers near the church in the center of town. But from there you would still have to drive down Islington street to get to the theater. Parking may still be a problem on the streets. So you may want to meet at the theater and take one car to the restaurant.
Another idea; If Barbara Ann is taking her class in a Hotel near by, you may want to eat in their restaurant and go to the show from there.

There is a restaurant called "Street" at 801 islington (walking distance) that I heard is very good. Street fare. Check out their website. Just an idea~~

Dana. You said above that we pay at the door and our RSVP here ensures our seat. At WHAT TIME can we claim our tickets? Do we say we're from MeetUp or does the ticket booth have our individual names?

    2 · February 19

    • Dana O.

The theater will have this list of RSVPs with pictures and will check you off as you pay. I'll hold a block of seats for us. 7:30-7:45 would be a good time to arrive, but generally we have to wait until they let us in just before show time at 8:00. No worry, we have 26 seats reserved.

WHICH RESTAURANT? I'm not familiar with the location of the theater or restaurants. What restaurants are near the theater, have good food, and decent acoustics so we don't have to yell at each other across the table? We'd like to park the car once for both the restaurant and the theater. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Dana...is the play being performed any other day? When I went to the West End website this play is not showing up. Appreciate any information of how to get tickets for another date. Thanks!

I believe all shows are now sold out. But you should try calling the theater to be sure.

DINNER FIRST? Would anyone like to join Fran and me for a light dinner first? It would be fun being able to chat before the play. We're flexible about "where". You name the place!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
