Hike Mt. Agamenticus & Go Swimming Afterward Maybe

  • Mt. Agamenticus

385 Mountain Road, Cape Neddick, ME (map)

    43.216824 -70.686005

  • Meet in parking lot - I have a red Corolla
  • Bring a bag lunch and water or other beverage , sun screen, insect repellent, hat, decent walking shoes. This is fairly easy but has a nice view at the top.

It's easy to find off ext 7 in Maine: turn LEFT over to Chases Pond Rd. and go RIGHT. Drive less than 4 miles, then continue on Mountain Rd. After a little over 3 miles Mountain Rd. and Agamenticus Rd. are the same then after 2.6 miles go RIGHT onto Mt. Agamenticus Rd. After a bit over 1/2 mile turn right into parking lot.

Afterward, weather permitting, you're invited my house for a swim so throw in a lounge chair, beach towel, and swim wear.  And a cooler for your favorite beverages.

Sorry, I'm going to have to work on the 12th. If you want to suggest a date to do this the next weekend, I'll repost it.

On the map, it looks like you turn at the Wildlife Center. That is not accurate. Drive another half mile or so and the parking lot is on the right.

If I were in town on the 12th, I would join you. This is a favorite hike of mine.

YES, I have 2 bad knees and had flu/pneumonia combination that hospitalized me 2 months ago. I've been building up to an easy hike and this is one of them.

Great...and maybe you'll come to swim in the pool you helped build and delivered.
