If you would like a name tag please see me. I have a star-shaped seafoam balloon attached to my purse and am wearing a sleeveless dress with a dark mesh overlay. There is of course no obligation to stay with the group but if you think I can be of assistance some way please call or text at[masked]-1679. I do not have a SmartPhone so will be unable to view any more comments posted to this page. Looking forward to shade and some breeze!

Hi Stephanie, I am so sorry. I messed up and for some reason thought this event was at 2pm. Unfortunately, I will not be able to go at 5pm. I have received so many invitations from various meet up groups which is great but I have gotten confused with the dates and times. I look forward to meeting you at another event.

Thanks, Stephanie, for getting back to me. I shall look for your balloon. I look exactly like my photo and will most likely wear bold colors. I look forward to meeting you.- Doris

Hi, I just joined Meet Up and the Portsmouth and beyond group. How will I know who is in the group when I get there. Will someone be holding a sign or it there a particular place to meet.? I would like to sign up and am hoping someone will respond to me. There are a couple of Portsmouth gals signed up. I would love to car pool with one or both of them and meet them beforehand. We'd have less cars to park also. PLEASE someone respond to me. Thanks.

Doris, The group does not have a meeting place as I imagine people are going to arrive at different times given that the event starts when many will be coming from work; some will want to stay the 3 hours, while for some arriving at 5 is not realistic. I will have a balloon attached to my purse and will bring with me name tags that people are welcome to use. Tomorrow evening or Wednesday morning I will post a brief description of what I'll wear, i.e. dress color, so others can recognize me if they want a name tag. It is also perfectly fine to mingle on your own, and the ways the garden is situated it would be difficult to travel in a pack of 20. I don't carpool with people I haven't previously met but think that's a smart idea. In any case, feel free to call my cell at[masked] once you enter the garden to meet face to face and get a name tag. Thank you. -Stephanie

I'm thinking about going to this. Has anyone been to it in the past? Is it worth the $25?

I stopped by the gardens today to get more info. You do not need to buy tickets ahead of time. The rep mentioned that it some women will be dressed in dresses/sundresses and sun hats. She suggested no heels since the walkways are grass and crushed stone. There will be a variety of attire; capris are fine; sandals, etc. Think business casual or better. She also suggested carpooling since parking is an issue.

This is a great event, I am sure you will have fun. And come back in August for the inaugural Reggae and Roses. That would be live Reggae at the Garden!
