The Positive Psychology Meet up group is for people who have an interest in the field of positive psychology. PP is a broad area encompassing a range of topics including, but not exclusive to, the science of well being, happiness, optimism and its practical applications to making the best out of your every day life.
This is not a self-help growth exploration group as such, or a happy clappy sing in a circle group - we aim to hold stimulating and challenging discussions on aspects of PP and learn about the recent science on the
psychology behind happiness and well being and how to apply this knowledge daily. We will seek to faciliate practical tips on how to increase levels of happiness amongst members and create personal strategies for success in spite of set backs. A range of mechanisms can be used for this from meditation to NLP to laughter - we aim to have fun as well as learn in the process!
We will provide a great balance between psychological theory, practical strategies and stimulating conversation exploring each topic based on recent theory. We will explore the core principles of well being and how to increase our levels of happiness. You will also receive tried and tested wellbeing interventions which will arm you with the tools needed to increase your personal wellbeing and that of those around you
