Book 19: Jasper Fforde's Shades of Grey

In May we'll be discussing Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde, which is set in an alternate version of the UK where your ability to see color determines your place in society. You can order it online for around $13, or you can get it from Dymocks for $23, and possibly Angus & Robertson for $16. The kindle version is $10, and there are kindle apps available for PC, iOS, and Windows and Android phones.

Kate has volunteered to think of some questions, but as always you're free to ask your own as well.

As usual, I'll be collecting $1 from each person which will go towards the $15 monthly meetup fee.

Hi guys. I'm really sorry for the late notice but I'm piking tonight. I'm not feeling well and I don't think I can drive the hour home tonight by myself :( See you all next month x

Really looking forward to discussing this one! And don't forget your $$ for the Trivia night! If you don't bring it then there won't be any prizes!!!

I'm gonna switch to no now. I am just starting and if I managed to hammer it over the weekend I will pop along. Stupid life getting in the way of books!

Sadly I can't make it to this any more (but I get to see Janelle Monae instead, so yay!). Might read the book anyway since I've already bought it--looks fun. Anyway, there is now officially one spot left if someone missed out. :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
