From Lake Needwood to Bethesda, C, 30 Miles

I'll be starting out at Lake Needwood in Derwood and biking via the Rock Creek Trail and neighborhood streets, Beach Drive and the Capital Crescent Trail to Bethesda. We'll enjoy a reasonably priced lunch in Bethesda and then bike back. You can start off with me at Lake Needwood in the parking lot by the trail head, or I can pick you up along the way. Let me know where we can meet.

thank you so much for your considerate response, Deborah...I will be riding my first time tomorrow in chevy chase @ 10:00..i have no idea of what to expect.. but I will make fun of it regardless !!... I only can ride Sunday & Mondays due to my work schedule, so please keep me in mind when there is a beginner ride on those days until I get the feel things...

Stewart the Sunday ride is a pretty hilly ride and pretty long. If you haven't done a three hour ride before, this is not the one to try as a beginner ride. I would recommend doing an easier ride before you try this C ride. Check out http://www.potomacped... for more rides and more descriptions of ride classes. The Sunday ride in Shirlington is a good ride to start going out with a group.

We're looking forward to having you join us. There's a lot of construction on the trail, so you might want to bring your mountain bike.
