C/CC*29 Miles* Olney Meander Reverse

We start in Sandy Spring area, at the Sherwood Elementary School parking lot (no bathrooms), stay on 108 a short bit, then head north to farm/country roads with rolling hills. The ride will lean toward the C pace, and no C levels will be dropped. Rest stop 11 miles at the High's. Optional meal at Urban BBQ or Olney Ale House on 108 after the ride if the group wants. If the weather is questionable, I'll give notice by 11 a.m. Bring helmet and cash/lock for restaurant. Let's share the sweep role! Thanks.

I was really tired also and did about 25 miles. We finished about 10 minutes before the group who did all 30.

Myrtle, thanks for the update. We wondered what happened and I'm glad you were able to shorten the ride. I forgot to give out my cell # ---but lessons learned. Sorry bout that. It was a bit cold and windy, and even though we all made it back (the last one was back before sundown at 4:30) my hands and feet were cold for about another 2 hours. The wind actually died down at the end a bit.

I agree it was hilly, and I'll list that on the description if we do it again, but in the warmer weather it's more tolerable...and Harold, thanks so much for helping out and shortening the ride.

This was an interesting ride with several pace levels, and we broke into smaller groups but all enjoyed the relatively good weather. Only 3 of us made it to the Urban BBQ and beers--but that was fun as well

Martine, I'll let you know if for some reason I can't make the ride this time - sorry I forgot to do that for your last ride. Looking forward to this ride after all the cold and rain

With a little help from our friends at the weather bureau, I'll be there. Glad to sweep, or whatever.

Myrtle, this is 29 miles at a C pace. We don't drop anyone and mostly stick together--and last time we finished up at Urban BBQ which was fun (we found out they have some vegetarian fare also). We leave right at 1 pm so get there a little early for cue sheets, etc. Last time because of some technical problems, we rode at about 12 mph avg, hope that helps.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
