C/CC*36 MILES* MD* 11 AM* Olney Tridelphia Meander

We will start on Rt 108 at the school, then head north to farm land and some country roads, hilly. We will ride at mainly a C pace, but CC riders are welcome to join, and no one will be dropped. We will share the sweep role! Rest stop at mile 20 at the High's. Optional meal at the Urban BBQ (yes, they have vegetarian fare and full service) on Route 108 after the ride if the group wants. The start is Sherwood Elementary School, 1401 Olney Sandy Spring Road (Rt. 108), Sandy Spring, MD 20860.

Rickie's GPS said we climbed 2200 feet on all those hills!

Excellent route, some hills, fairly challenging, especially for off-season. But a great ride!

Have fun. I'll catch you on the next one. I'm going to ride 25 (maybe not so hilly) closer to home on my own this time.

Good morning Martine. So I just clicked on YES I'll be there. I'm psyched but nervous. I have not been riding and fear I'm pitifully out of shape. But gotta start somewhere right? Looking forward to it.

Yes, this one is a bit hilly. However, (if the weather does not cancel us!) some of us ride at a C pace so you can take your time. We had someone a few weeks ago, who had not ridden in 2 years, do this one and he went slow, but he made it! And ...we have a slightly shorter version of this ride coming Feb 9, so you may wish to try that one. But, you know your endurance. I would just make sure your dress for the weather and see how it goes.

Where is global warming when we need it? Check back here Sunday morning. We'll post a cancellation no later than 9:00 if it's too cold / windy. Most likely we'll ride if it's mid-40s without much wind by ride start time.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
