D*10 MILES* Norbeck/Rock Creek Village MD

Aspen Hill to Olney. This is intended for relatively new riders or those getting their riding legs back after a hiatus. We will ride lightly used residential roads and trails. There are a few short hills. There will be a rest stop at mile 4.5 at the Olney Swim Center before we loop back to return. We will keep it easy for new riders, and explain cue sheets, dressing for the weather, how to navigate intersections, general safety. There is an option to make this ride 14 miles on country roads behind the pool only if all the group agrees. The ride starts out front of the Caribou Coffee, 5562 Norbeck Road, Rockville, MD at the Rock Creek Village Shopping Center at Route 28 (Norbeck) and Bauer Drive. Please email me with questions. Come 15 minutes early to prepare to leave at 1030 am.

Unfortunately I will be out of town this weekend. I hope the ride leader will schedule this ride again. This was just bad timing for me. Have fun!

Looking forward to this ride. I am not sure of people's riding experience, so we'll chat before we go. Everyone should have a helmet. And yes, I plan to offer more D level beginner trail rides in this vicinity if there is interest.

One day I will connect with this group. I am doing the WABA Vasa ride in DC this day. Have fun and hope to meet you soon. This is one of my favorite areas to bike. Enjoy.
