This was my 3rd year to attend the Sam Hinton Folk Heritage Festival, and I have to say it just keeps getting better. Job Well Done to all involved!

Started off singing in the PFC Singers which was a lot of fun. Raph introduced the songs played his guitar and encouraged the crowd to join in , Roger with his guitar and harmonica and Jeff on the mandolin made it especially good. As usual it offered many opportunities to hear different styles of music and I really enjoyed the Contra dancing!
They taught every step and many nice people to dance with. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed every minute! Can hardly wait for next year!

I enjoyed all of the music and the weather made it a splendid day to be in Poway park. I listened to the jam sessions while sitting at a picnic table in the shade. I am overjoyed that David Decker (sp?) has volunteered to do booking. Go Dave! I even enjoyed looking at the artisans wares, which I rarely did before. Thanks to all of the volunteers!

I've been playing guitar for 30 years and I am so glad see post like Makesh's. We were all beginners once....I still learn every day. Learn, play... pass it on.

I am a beginning guitar player (8months). But I would love to observe and learn from the greats, and will do my best to contribute in ways I can.
