K-State Student Union Program Council and the Manhattan, Kansas Parks & Recreation Department host an annual music (jazz) festival on the second Saturday of July.
This year for the first time they are offering the Little Apple Music Festival, which will still feature jazz at its core, but also offer indie, blues, and country music, in order to appeal to a wide variety of audience members. The festival - as part of the Arts in the Park series - will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 6-11 pm at City Park's Larry Novell Band Shell.
Last year's festival attracted more than 2,000 people. The festival also aims to attract out-of-towners to show off Manhattan, Kansas-the Little Apple!®
There will be two stages at the festival and a family-friendly area. It's an event that appeals to the whole family.
The group will meet at the East end of the bleachers. Bring a folding chair if you prefer more comfortable seating.
