Fantastic and Full of Fun hike/outing with Pathfinders! Thanks Wendy & Leone.
Glad I finally got to go. Cool forest walk and a pleasant walk along the shore ... testing our agility & balance climbing over rocks and fallen trees... with the sun rays directed on our backs instead of our faces. :)
To top it up, we enjoyed the Open Farm Day at Baba ... picnic lunch, farm animals( a real close up look at them) , flowers & vegetables. I had great company in my car pool ... we had so much to talk, laugh and share all the way & back with Hilda and Bettina.

We visited Gimli to show Bettina the international student some
touristic spots like the sea wall murals and only left after the pickerel charity supper at Gimli Rec. and even made time to visit Winnipeg Beach for a short beach walk before returning home after sunset! ... almost getting dark.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hike through the woods and back along the beach, our time at the farm and finished off the day in Gimli with a drink on the hotel patio and a pickerel dinner? It was a great sunshine y day out. Thanks so much Wendy for organizing this event.

Wonderful! I love walking through the woods like that. It reminds me of my childhood. The beach walk was great too, hearing the waves break onto the shore and I loved climbing over all the downed trees.

I loved the walk. There's nothing like water and sun shine to put a smile on a girl's face. Our group was the last to depart the farm. They nearly closed down before we got the hint.

If you care to bring your own picnic lunch, we could picnic together at BABA Farms after the hike. BABA Farms (just a few miles north of Camp Morton) has a number of picnic tables that we're welcome to use and as part of the 'Open Farm Day' program they'll have farm tours and a market garden with some pizza and / or soup available for purchase. Note - They won't be serving lunch per se.

There are many other farms in the area that are open for the day. I will provide a list & directions to them for the more adventurous participants who may want to visit other types of farms.
