University Pathway Hike

hike length - 8.5 km  /  110 minutes

This hike is a scenic east Fort Garry trek that promotes a potentially vital pathway link to the U of M.

The Prairie Pathfinders are advocating that a multi-use pathway be established along the west bank of the Red River, north from the U of M.  This route could be a safe and scenic connection between the university / new stadium and the Churchill Parkway and on to the Forks. Cutting through the former Southwood Golf course and skirting Crescent Drive Park and Wildwood Park, this pathway will provide a scenic alternative to the dangers and congestion of busy Pembina Hwy.

This is an 'out & back' hike that begins in Crescent Drive Park and includes a short loop through the former Southwood Golf course.

This event is open to Prairie Pathfinder walking club members (i.e. members who have paid an annual $25. fee) and guests. CONTACT US to request a complimentary invitation and try out the club 'for free'. Everyone is welcome to try out a hike or two before deciding to purchase a membership. Visit our website HERE.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
