Hackathon: Develop/MapReduce Your Dream Predictive Analytics/BigData App.

Our goal is to implement a few apps, using publicly available APIs. You can propose apps, code them, or just be an observer. PHP, Java, Python, Ruby, C++, FORTRAN, or COBOL (just kidding!) are all welcome!

If you want to code, please go through the APIs below.

Step 1: Get to know each other

Step 2: Get to know proposed applications

Step 3: Divide into groups of 3-4 to finish the apps

Step 4: Discussion about how to finish the rest

Please, use the following API docs:

At last mother nature is smiling on us, and we will have the meeting tonight. As I mentioned, we have a crawler that you can drive (like a Ferrari :-) using our open API. It is fast because it is focused, and our servers can store bigdata. Can you tell us your requirements in the following way (example):
Req1: I need all webpages where lat/long are between these values
Req2: Exclude webpages that have too many ads

or (one may not be working at any given moment...)
I have had the project working but need data storage models and better methods of feeding data to geographical maps.
