I am a mom of an 8 year boy that attended The Growing Place and Branches Atelier. I was so inspired that I chose to work for Branches after my son graduated. Now, I am the Chief Tinkerer of The Exploratory, where we are researcher educators.
The Exploratory. We have just started a Toddler and Me program that celebrates Science, Math and Art. We have summer camps for preschoolers.
Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Constructivist, Design Thinking, STEAM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math ), Emergent, Project Learning
I worked on the Reggio Children traveling exhibit - Hundred Languages and was struck by how the many schools in Reggio pool their experiences and documentation to help each other. I have worked with many preschools and am always surprised at the work in small in home childcare, preschools, Dk's etc. In my work with The Exploratory, we find that we are the most productive when we take part in constructive conversations, when we visit different schools and when we are questioning our program to make it better.
Thank you Lisa and Teachers at Blue Oak!! Its so great to have the opportunity to see the amazing work you are doing with your families.
I am hosting the next Educelerate meet-up (this Thu eve) in my language preschool in Westwood. (WorldSpeak School)
I see that you are a member of Educelerate group. I remember we tried to meet few times and I wanted to show our new school location. Looking forward to finally meeting you this week during the meet-up.:)
Hi Jean, I noticed that you bring STEAM learning experiences to students in all sorts of settings. Do you do anything in Orange County or interested in doing so? Thanks, Jilleen

Jean-- So glad you've joined us in the Education Revolution. I'm also obsessed with making a difference in education, and I'm glad there are many others of us out there. Can't wait to meet and hear about your thoughts, ideas, and experiences. The Makers movement is particularly cool. :)
