Good afternoon liaisons!
Secular Coalition for Arizona has been invited Prescott Freethinkers to table with the HUUmanists at this year's Unitarian Universalist General Assembly in Phoenix. As you may know, many nontheists end up attending UU congregations because they are unaware of the existence of secular communities--so this is an excellent opportunity for us to let nontheistic UUs know about our communities! While many of the thousands of UUs who attend GA will be coming from out of state, about 50% of the attendees are, on average, local--so again, a great opportunity for us to connect with nontheistic Arizonans looking for community, but we need your help!
Anyone attending can get business cards/brochures from Cori [masked]) to display at the table.
We also will need several volunteers to help staff the many hours that we need to table: Wed 6/20 12:30p.m. - 7:30p.m. Thurs 6/21 10a .m. - 7:30 p.m. Friday 6/22 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday 6/23 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Sun 6/24 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. So please take a look at the schedule and see if there are a few hours you can volunteer - contact Brian Wallace (SC Arizona's Community Outreach Director) at [address removed] or [masked]. Also, if you're planning to attend UU GA, make sure you come to the HUUmanist meeting Friday night where Edwina Rogers, Secular Coalition for America's Executive Director, and myself will be speaking! Thanks for helping us get more visibility for Arizona's nontheistic community!
