Hi, I am a recent convert to the vegan way of eating. I've done a tremendous amount of reading and documentary watching since early last fall, and decided that with the new year, I would begin. The books that have had the biggest effect on me are Sugar Blues, The Omnivore's Dilemma, Eat To Live, and Healthy Eating, Healty World. The first week of my transformation was difficult, but since that time, I'm feeling great. I'm currently working on a weight-loss phase, so I haven't done any type of baking (my specialty), but I have explored a number of healthy, low-fat vegan dishes. So far, so good. I do see eating out at other people's homes as somewhat challenging.
Hi, I've been living in Prescott for two years after moving from the Detroit area. I am a member of the Prescott Freethinkers, and currently host the monthly Humanist meetings in my home. I live with my significant other, Michael.
Our Chinese theme night was a success. Lots of interesting food to eat. Sorry all that my orange-glazed tofu was a bit on the chewy side :(
