Last minute RSVP's  (after 11:30am Sunday July 8) may not have supplies for you.

Home brewing kombucha is becoming quite popular. The purpose of this meetup is to learn the benefits of drinking kombucha and the basic recipe for brewing your own kombucha at home for pennies a serving (instead of $4/bottle!)

Those who attend will leave with all the supplies needed to start your own batch that very night (including the SCOBY, tea, and glass brewing jar)!

Cost of supplies estimated @$10/person

Also samples will be available.

Last minute RSVP's may not have supplies for you. Please RSVP early.

Laci - love the pics of your kombucha brewing process on your blog. I just bottled and am very excited. I used a black tea flavored with mango because I had tons of it I wanted to use up. I was nervous that the mango would mess with the brew, but I think it came out okay. I also added ginger for the 2nd ferment.

Started my kombucha brew on tuesday night - was worried nothing was happening, but just saw that "scoby-junior" is forming on the top. Very excited!

Kombucha Camp was fantastic. The information was extremely informative and very thorough. I also loved that we left with all the materials we need to make our own batch. Thanks for Laura for sharing her Kombucha and SCOBY and to Laci for buying all of the supplies.

Laura was amazing and very knowledgeable!! I started my 4 kombucha jar ferments as soon as I got home (after stopping for distilled water, of course). Now I will have little Laura/Jenny SCOBY babies in about a week ;). Yay!

Thank you everyone for your support. Remember to check Laci's blog, Picketfencepaleo.com for more support information. Feel free to contact me with questions, too.
Sorry for the location difficulty. I feel terrible about that.

My apologies for the location confusion. Meetup.com's database of locations included Kirkwood Park but I didn't realize it had never been entered into the database properly, ie no proper address or map location. So sorry for those who couldn't find us. I have some SCOBYS and will gladly give them to anyone who RSVP'd but missed the meetup due to not even finding it. Feel free to message me.

I am new to STL as well, so I may be wrong - but try searching for "Kirkwood Ball Park". It's off of an Adams street, so I'm guessing it's correct.

I can't seem to find the Kirkwood Park. New to STL.

I had never heard of Kombucha till this meetup was posted. Then, today at Whole Foods, I saw a beverage called Synergy, 95% raw kombucha with chia seeds and raspberry juice - yummy! However, it's very odd how the chia seeds remain suspended and seemingly evenly spaced in this gel-like substance. It was like drinking slightly liquified, finely chopped jello...Can't wait to see what we are making Monday! It has to be more cost effective than the $3.39 beverage I just described....

We have reserved a pavilion for our group. Parking in the lot next to the tennis courts would be closest, but the large lot next to the Community Center is just down the hill. Cost will be $10-13 for supplies, if you already have a gallon sized jar you can just pick up the tea, sugar and SCOBY. Feel free to bring drinks and snacks, but GLASS bottles are prohibited!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
