Mr. Balakrishna Sharma has amazing clarity and command with the concept of databases. He displayed the depth and breadth of his expertise in carefully answering the questions during the presentation. Would be really nice if we can get the slides.

Bala (presenter) was great. He really knew his subject and answered every question carefully and respectfully. There was only time to cover half the agenda because the questions, answers, and discussions through the first two NoSQL products took so much time. High-level overviews of these technologies are difficult because of the tendency of the questions to drive the discussions to deeper levels than an overview should go. Sacrificing the latter part of an agenda because of excessive Q&A is usually annoying, but in this case it was totally worth it. The agenda might have been a bit aggressive; what did get presented was very informative and extremely worthwhile. Five stars!

On reflection, I'm probably guilty as charged if the gripe is one of the questions taking away from the completion of the presentation. I'm OK with a ground rule of questions at the end going foward.

Looking forward to this comparison, especially if ACID compliance is one of the features being compared in the presentation. NoSQL DBMS's are starting to embrace it.

I'm playing around with the Hadoop VM distribution from Cloudera and could use some advice on integrating it with Talend or Penthaho. Any experts out there who could share some of their experiences or is eager to schedule hack hours on an evening or weekend to work on this together? I'm open to other hack sessions too if you have any ideas/challenges in mind.
